Prime Minister Meets Zohaib Asad

January 5, 2012: Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani presented a cheque of Rs1 million as a token of appreciation to Zohaib Asad, a student of Beaconhouse Educational Complex, Rawalpindi, who set a world record in the O Level examination.

Zohaib Asad earned 28 As in the University of Cambridge International O Level Examinations, 2011. He broke a record of 23 As set by Ibrahim Shahid, a student of Beaconhouse Margalla Campus, Islamabad.

The Prime Minister invited Zohaib Asad to the PM House and appreciated him for making Pakistan's youth proud. He said that Asad's achievement will inspire other students to excel in life.

Zohaib Asad is currently enrolled at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, where he is pursuing an undergraduate degree in Economics and International Development. He is determined to return to Pakistan after completing his education to serve his country.

Asad's family members were also present at the occasion.
